TECHSTRIDE S.A. de C.V. ("Striq"), a company incorporated in Mexico, with its registered domicile as stated in the Striq Privacy Notice and notices address contact@striq.net.
This Desktop Software Licence (the “Licence”) governs the Striq desktop application, its installer, updates, bundled components, and documentation (together, the “Software”). It is an agreement between TECHSTRIDE and the Merchant whose Striq account the Software connects to, and it also binds every person the Merchant allows to use an installed workstation. Installing, opening, or using the Software means accepting this Licence. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the Software. This Licence forms part of the Merchant SaaS Terms, and defined terms there have the same meaning here.
Subject to this Licence, the Merchant SaaS Terms, and payment of the applicable fees, TECHSTRIDE grants the Merchant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and run the Software on computers the Merchant owns or controls, at the restaurant locations covered by its Striq account, solely to operate that account and only while the account’s subscription or eligible trial is active.
The Software is licensed, not sold. The number of workstations, locations, and features available depends on the Merchant’s plan, and the Software may enable or disable functionality to match it. This Licence grants no right to a feature the plan does not include.
The Merchant and its users must not:
The Software checks for and installs updates automatically from TECHSTRIDE’s protected distribution channel, including security fixes, corrections, and changes needed to stay compatible with the service. The Merchant consents to this automatic updating and must not block, delay, or tamper with it. An update may add, change, or remove functionality. We may end support for an old version, and a version that is too old may stop working with the service. Updates are governed by this Licence unless a separate licence accompanies them.
The Merchant is responsible for the workstation itself: the computer, operating system, printers and their drivers, network, power, physical security, local user accounts, and antivirus or endpoint controls. The Software may cache operational data locally so the restaurant can keep working during a network interruption, and may communicate with printers on the local network. The Merchant is responsible for physical and local access control to installed workstations, including preventing access by people who should not see order or account information, and for securely wiping the Software and its local data from any workstation it disposes of, sells, or returns.
TECHSTRIDE and its licensors own the Software and all intellectual property rights in it. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. The Software includes third-party and open-source components licensed under their own terms; those terms govern those components and, where they grant the Merchant broader rights for that component, they prevail for it. A list of those components and their notices is available on request at contact@striq.net.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, and TECHSTRIDE disclaims all warranties not expressly stated, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will run without interruption or error, that it will work with every printer, device, network, or operating system, or that no order, ticket, or print job will ever be delayed or lost. The Merchant is responsible for maintaining a workable fallback for its kitchen operations.
The limitations and cap on liability in the Merchant SaaS Terms apply to this Licence and to the Software, and the total liability across both is aggregate rather than cumulative. The Merchant’s indemnity in the Merchant SaaS Terms applies to claims arising from its use of the Software. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
This Licence runs while the Merchant’s subscription or eligible trial is active and terminates automatically when that ends, when the Merchant SaaS Terms terminate, or on breach of this Licence. On termination the Merchant must stop using the Software and remove it from every workstation. Sections on restrictions, ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive.
This Licence is version 1.0 and effective August 16, 2026. We may publish a new version prospectively at this same legal location, and material changes follow the notice process in the Merchant SaaS Terms. This Licence is governed by the laws of Mexico, with the competent courts of Nuevo León, Mexico, subject to mandatory protections that cannot be waived. It is published in Spanish and English; in case of discrepancy the Spanish version prevails. Questions can be sent to contact@striq.net.
